Kay Scammell, BSc (Hons). Founder of Elev8 Physiotherapy
I qualified with the University of Brighton in 2020 with a First Class degree. Since graduating I have gained over five years of experience across different NHS Trusts including Brighton, Haywards Heath and Horsham. I have worked in the acute inpatient sector including A&E, Musculoskeletal outpatients and various rehabilitation services such as Major Trauma Units and Neurological Rehab Units.
I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and I am a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
I also have a Rugby Football Union qualification to work pitch side. This involves pre match treatment and taping, dynamic assessment and treatments during games and managing symptoms post games.
Away from work I am passionate about staying active and enjoy training at the gym, running, playing netball, and spending time outdoors. These activities not only keep me physically fit but also play an important role in maintaining a positive mindset and wellbeing. I have completed the Three Peaks Challenge, ran a half marathon, and achieved the Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award, all of which have strengthened my appreciation of resilience, recovery, and the value of keeping active. My commitment to movement and health shapes my approach at Elev8 Physiotherapy: delivering tailored, evidence-based care that restores function, supports recovery, and helps prevent future injury.
